In this scene the porter starts cursing and getting very angry at how he cannot rest. Then he gets drunk in the night because he can’t sleep and the knocking has awaken many. Macbeth has already killed Duncan and is getting nervous after the Porters spoken Macduff then goes to check on Duncan and finds him murdered.

Everyone in the castle is silent and shocked except for Macbeth and Lady Macbeth because they already knew. Macduff thinks it was the guards because they were smeared with blood with the daggers in their palms (dead)

Then Macbeth confesses of killing the guards because he tries to prove he is loyal. Suddenly lady Macbeth fakes her fainting to stop Macbeth from confessing anything else. Macbeth starts faking many things and seems very sad.

DonaldBain and Malcolm Duncan’s sons have a chat to flee because they want to live. If the murderer has killed Duncan would probably kill his children to be next on the throne. But if they run they could be suspects and be blamed for the murder. Malcolm goes to England and Donaldbain goes to Ireland so they could be safe.

The witches appear to give Macbeth prophecies and betray Macbeth by lying and make him believe what they say. In 1:3 but in 1:1 they decide where to meet to tell Macbeth his prophecies.

This scene starts with Lady Macbeth entering and speaking to herself. Then enters Macbeth with two bloody daggers they argue about what they shall do. Macbeth cannot say amen because he feels guilty of what he has done.

This scene starts with Lady Macbeth reading a letter from some witches about the prophecies of Macbeth’s future.

“you should be women, And yet your beards forbid me to interpret
That you are so.

What are these so wither’d and so wild in their attire, That look not like the inhabitants o’ the earth.
